Anya L. Cobler, Office Manager

Anya Cobler, Practice Manager

Anya grew up in Dexter, Michigan. After graduating a proud Dreadnaught, she went on to earn a Master of Fine Arts degree in Poetry from the University of Michigan. After graduate school, Anya taught college creative writing and english courses at Eastern Michigan University and Oakland Community College. From there her path veered back towards the medical field, having worked for much of her life in her father’s oral surgery office. After enjoying a brief, but highly instructive and uplifting stint at the University of Michigan’s Department of Otolaryngology, Head & Neck Surgery as a surgery coordinator for the Neurotology group, she decided to venture back to what she knew most–oral surgery and how a private practice should be run. She is excited to be back in the field working with such a positive, family-centric, hard working team.

Anya is certified in basic life support. In the oral surgery world she is passionate about superior service for all people, building relationships, and caring for her team. On the home front she seeks to be a strong and humble mother, as well as a loving wife to David, her life partner. She is a member of the Knox Presbyterian Church family, and lives with her husband and three children just outside of Dexter where they enjoy gardening, food, and their close proximity to a lot of family.

Char Davis, Patient Care Coordinator

Charlotte grew up in Brighton as the daughter of Harry A. Davis, DDS. She has had numerous opportunities to work in dental offices through the years, even as her father’s dental assistant on two different occasions.

She now calls Maple City her home, which is near Traverse City in northern Michigan. As our remote employee, she is able to help with tasks such as validating our patients’ insurance coverage, phone calls and countless other daily assignments that assist with the in-office work-flow.

When Charlotte is not working for Dexter Oral Surgery, you will likely find her on one of the Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore hiking trails. She and some of her family are developing a nice piece of land in Leelanau County. She enjoys the surrounding forest, her family, and seeks out creative projects whenever possible.
